Slip on Boots

This is a collection of photos from a photoshoot showcasing our knee high slip-on leather boots. These two designs are available for order in the shop section or by custom order. The tall leather boot is made of soft luxurious leathers in a square toe shape. The design of the boot is made to be slipped on and the back heel is made with hair-on cowhide. The difference in texture of the smooth leather to the cow hair heel is what makes this boot unique. This style is apart of our black pepper collection. check it out here

This is a special set that is available to purchase via custom order. The top and bottom are both made with a unique and luxurious pebble leather. It is inspired by the color and textures of stone translated through leather. The top jacket is cropped and designed in a way to fit multiple sizes although any size or material can be ordered if you are interested in this set.

 Heel shoeMaking Workshop

Pictures from various heel making workshops at our new location in Pilsen. Students spend the day learning the art of shoemaking by completing their own pair of heels. This class only takes one day to complete, from 11am-6pm. Students complete a whole pair of wearable shoes in their desired size in only one day. Sometimes students finish earlier because this class takes a little less time than our average shoemaking classes. We start off by picking leathers, cutting shapes for our pattern pieces, shaping material around a shoe last, and then adding the leather soles and heels. The whole experience is lead by a dedicated instructor with years of experience in shoemaking instruction. We structured the class to be simple enough for all skill levels so anyone at any skill level can learn to make beautiful shoes.

Sneaker shoeMaking Workshop

This is our single day sneaker making workshop where students learn how to make a pair of leather sneakers in one day. Each student walks away with a finished pair of beautiful leather sneakers that they have made at the end of our class. We start by picking out leathers, cutting materials and then lasting each layer of leather onto a shoe last. The next step is attaching a rubber outsole that is then machine stitched on using a specialized machine by the instructor. Students of all levels enjoy this class.

Mule shoeMaking Workshop

This is one of our original shoemaking classes. Learn how to make a pair of shoes in one day! The mule shape is one of the oldest shoe styles defined by its open heel. This style is said to have originated as early as 1556 as a house slipper and later with a harder sole to be worn outside. In this class students learn the process of making their own pair of mules from start to finish. The design can be customized in many ways and worn by men or women.

Derby Shoemaking Workshop

This is the next level shoemaking class after taking one of our single-day entry level classes. Students learn how to make a pair of derby style dress shoes on a men’s or women’s style shoe last. Students learn how to cut, sew, hand last their shoes the same way as the other classes except this time they learn how to work with a lining and stiffeners. The derby shoe is a classic style and looks beautiful in any color combination. It’s open vamps allow for the shoe to have an adjustable lace opening.

Bridal Shower Party

This was a fun day making leather shoulder bags with a group of ladies who were celebrating their friend’s engagement! We spent the day making leather shoulder bags that doubled as fanny packs. Each student customized their bags so beautifully. We spent about 3-4 hours completing everyones projects together. The event was paired with a catered charcuterie board and champagne!

New Store Opening Party

Friends, family, clients, students, and neighbors all stopped by for our grand opening of the new Pilsen store location. The store is newly designed with geometric shelves protruding from the walls to display items for sale. The front area is for shopping and trying on finished shoes, handbags and leather accessories. As you wander back you will start to see the shoemaking process for how each item is hand crafted in our space. Down a set of wooden steps is an array of hanging leathers on display for our new Leather Shop where you can pick out your leather for purchase. You’ll also find exotic plants and natural light where all of the leather specific sewing machines are situated. The whole space is filled with natural light, shoemaking tools, and inspiring design in every corner. 1909 S Halsted, Chicago, IL 60608
